Man Gets 15 years for Repeatedly Sexually Assaulting his Pet Dogs

A Michigan man has been jailed for repeatedly raping his pet dogs.
Convicted sex offender Kurtis Peterson, 37, had sex with his pit bull and blue heeler at his Muskegon apartment.




Judge Timothy Hicks heard on Monday how the deviant dog owner was first caught penetrating one of his pets by Joyce Yeaw on his bed in April 2010.
Peterson, however, told her he was "just hugging his dog."



But he was busted again by the same person, just two months later, having sex with his pit bull on his living room floor.
Yeaw, returning car keys borrowed from Peterson's roommate, contacted cops and Peterson was arrested.



"He was having sex with the dog, it was disgusting," Yeaw said.
Peterson, being questioned by Muskegon police detective Peter Boterenbrood, claimed he was "just playing with the dog" in April.



But, he said, he became "sexually aroused from accidental contact with the animal's rear" which led to the later assault.
It is not known whether he assaulted the pets on other occasions.
Peterson pleaded no contest last March to the "abominable and detestable crime against nature." On Monday, he was sentenced for up to 15 years in a state prison.
